Re: Get a T400 now or wait for new T410 in January?

I second that. My T400 is rock solid, and I count myself as a very satisfied consumer.

Re: Gobi 1000 - Does GPS work without activating with carrier?

I can speak from experience. I have a new T400 with Windows 7 and the Gobi card - ordered specifically because of its improved GPS performance - and it works great. You do not have to activate the card with the selected carrier. GPS functionality is completely separate/standalone. It will take a few...

Re: Win7 update media?

My $17 Windows 7 disks arrived yesterday, same packaging as already described. Oddly, my confirmation email sent me to a UPS tracking screen, but the tracking number they provided was not accepted. They arrived via U.S. Mail. I was surprised that Lenovo didn't handle the cost after spending $1800+ o...

Thanks for your suggestions. I had already initiated this procedure - my first stop was Intel for the latest drivers followed by updating Access Connections from 5.01 (shipped with the X200) to 5.02. Additionally, I looked at the RF environoment near my router using NetStumbler (www.stumbler.net) - ...

I would agree with the overall positive opinion about the X200. So far, aside from the Intel 5300 AGN wireless card dropping connectivity frequently (frequently means multiple times daily), it has been a machine that I would recommend to others. No bad pixels and a fast SSD priced right. I have had ...

Count me as another satisfied user of the Samsung 64GB SSD. In conjunction with a T8600 2.4GHz processor in the X200, it provides a great user experience. And the fan is never on.

X200 Wireless Network Drops Connectivity

Just received my X200 with a Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5300. Since this morning, within a span of 8 hours, it has dropped the connection 7 times (required reconnection through Access Coonnections each time to reestablish network). Prior to receiving the X200, I have been using a TPad X60 tablet in co...

The logo seems to be the only cosmetic downside - it really subtracts from an otherwise great looking machine.

I would have no hesitation to paying a reasonable amount to upgrade the quality of current offerings.
