As the title says I am looking for some DDR 2 for my desktop machine. I have 2 sticks of DDR2 out of my Thinkpad R52 1858-CTO. There are 2 sticks of 1GB. I do not have the specs of the memory but can check them when I get home from work!

Try to remove all of the unnecessary peripherals like the modem, and the wireless card, every little thing will help you diagnose your problem

My R52 was just doing the same thing, it was also freezing when ever you could get it to start up, try removing the wireless card if you have one, that is what did it for me.

Holy Friggin Thread Revival. I have LONG since changed the processor in my unit. It hase a mpga479. It had a 1.4 Celeron, 400 in it. Oh sorry about that, I did not see any antenna and I even removed the card. So to install an antenna I have to take the plastic off of the the LCD Bezel and route the wire?

But it should still show up as a DVD-ROM and just not read DVD's but it is showing up as a CD-ROM

How is that? If you push to many amps across the fuse on the MOBO you WILL blow it. Like if it were a 100v 125a 700w. (Im sure there is NO adapter with that configuration) You are saying it would be safe to use? EEEEk.

I have a Thinkpad R52 1858-CTO The Serial Number is L3-XXXXX I put a 1.73 SL7SA in the computer and now when it Boots up it says Intel Centrino Moblie Technology I have checked this out and it says I have to have the 915 Chipset for that, I though i had the 910. As the title says I have a working 1.5 GHz Pentim M Banias core 400 MHz FSB for 22 shipped. I bought it but it is NOT compatible with my computer.
