Re: PCMCIA CD-ROM Driver

These two websites do not contain any information about the CD-ROM even if you wanna use it under windows 95. I personally think that it is because this IBM PCMCIA CD-ROM is not a standard accessory for 701c so it requires driver separately. Does anyone have the driver for this CD-ROM?

PCMCIA CD-ROM Driver

I bought a used IBM 4x speed portable CD-400 for my new 701c; however, I cannot find any driver for the CD-ROM. Does anyone here have the driver for this particular CD-ROM, or does anyone know how to make it work under windows 98? Thanks.

I don't know if this is obvious but I found that the lenovo setting software can be used to enable the charge threshold. See http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/accessorie ... /settings/ for more information.

AR9280 (apple version), on the other hand, does not work on my x61. I have installed drivers for AR9280, and windows does detect the card, but cannot find any AP. Re: t61p Motherboard part number questin

I would like to make sure if I can install a 44C3926 into a 14" base. In fact I wanna upgrade my T60p (to break the 3GB barrier), so I was looking at a 14" T61p motherboard. The FRU I found on HMM is 42W7874, but as someone pointed out, it's the FRU for motherboards that might suffer from overheatin...

FS: A lot of parts for sale

I am moving back to Taiwan, and before I leave I wanna sell some parts that I bought probably several months ago for the purpose of backup. Eventually I figured out that I probably won't need them anymore so I'd like to sell them, and here they are. A used x41t Keyboard: P/N 93P4639 FRU 93P4636. Ask...

T60/p 3GB limitation? Not quite...

Again I raise this topic because I found something interesting... I am a T60p owner for about 2 years, and I am aware of this 3GB limitation stuff. Although it would be impossible to access the extra 1GB if I installed 4GB on it, I still bought 2 2GB modules in order to speed up the system a little ...

In the review, it says:
"An optional three-cell battery ($120) slides into the optical drive bay to provide approximately 3.2 hours of extra juice."
For this reason, I believe that they are testing the battery life using a 3 cell battery.

SATA Hard Drive replacement

Recently I thought of something which might become an issue after a while for those laptops/thinkpads using SATA HDDs. There are rumors about how many times (10+ times, maybe?) one can replug a HDD onto a SATA cable before the cable worn out (I don't exactly know how to describe, but you sort of kno...

Yes, windows (VISTA) can see 2.5GB as well, only if service pack 1 is installed. Today I tried to install VISTA services pack 1 on my X41 tablet, and amazingly after the installation, in the system (under control panel) it shows 2.5GB RAM (instead of 2038MB before I installed SP1). I Guess the reason for Mac OS can see all the 2.5GB is that it totally bypasses the BIOS, while it's the main reason for that we only see 2GB in Windows (or Linux). So... I think the answer is yes, one can see 2.5GB in Mac OS. By the way, I don't think it's a good idea to install Mac OS on X41 just ...

I guess the problem comes from the fact that this SSD works only under 5v. I tried to put the 7K60 into X41t's HDD bay, and X41t can not see 7k60 as well. Since 4k60 is 3.3v/5v switchable, while 7k60 works only under 5v, I think x41t only provides 3.3v on its HDD bay, and that's the reason for X41t ...

Perhaps the drive needs to be formated. Have you gone to Disk Management to see if the drive shows up there? Does it say FAT32 or NTFS? If not, format the drive to NTFS and it will show up.
