Intel Cherryville 520 fits in 7mm slot. Although they do sell 7mm version of the drives, the only one I could find and order was the the 9mm. Remove the black spacer and replace with smaller screws and it fits fine.
I used screws from my Thinkpad T40 screw pack.

X60t New hard drive 5k160 fan noise
Hello all, I installed a new Hitachi 5k160 160gb 5400 rpm hard drive in place of the Lenovo supplied 80gb Fujitsu 5400rpm hard drive.
