Re: Sierra Broadband MC5725 in Thinkpad x300
I had the same problem. My workaround was to clean-install XP or Vista, install the Sierra driver, and then upgrade with Windows 7.

Re: Real World Battery life for X200s & X301
On my X301 with the 3-cell battery, no battery stretch, about 75% screen brightness, I only get 2 1/2 hours web browsing and and trivial applications. I have already ordered the optional 3-cell bay battery.
That is, battery performance isn't that great.

Re: T6x BIOS device whitelist (error 1802/1804) [solved]
Thank you.
I actually did it by running the Winphlash program packaged with the Lenovo updater. Now I have the WWAN working. Many thanks to Zender as well.

Re: Getting unauthorized WWAN card to work
Well, here is what I ended up doing: I downloaded the Lenovo X301 BIOS updater, and replaced the .FL1 file with the patch from Zender. I then ran the Winphlash program included in the updater folder. I specified the patched .FL1 file as the BIOS ROM input. Next, I downloaded the Verizon driver for X...

Re: T6x BIOS device whitelist (error 1802/1804) [solved]
I modified the Lenovo BIOS updater per Zender's instructions. However, I can't get it loaded onto my computer. The updater detects that my machine (X301) already has the latest BIOS and will not install the patched one. Any suggestions?

Getting unauthorized WWAN card to work
I am trying to install a Sierra Wireless MC5725 WWAN card (which I removed from a T61) in my brand new X301. I got the "1804" error and had to take it back out. I tried to install Zender's BIOS hack but the update program reports that "Upgrade is not necessary" and refuses to proceed. I also tried i...

Use Sprint on WWAN ?
Hi all, I have a new(ish) T61 with the built-in Verizon WWAN. I have had Sprint's cellular data service for years now, and would like to continue using it without the hassle of keeping the PCCard around. Sprint tells me that they cannot (or will not) provide service on a Verizon card or phone. I see...
