Must agree with the experts above. When I had the quick orange blink shortly after getting my original T400, it turned out to be a defective cell in the battery.

I used the mentioned process explorer and found the service TPHKLOAD "Lenovo Hotkey Client Loader". After restarting this service everything works again as expected. It may have started, but to be safe I'd run some complete diagnostics and make sure it's seeing all your RAM and so on. Again, just to be on the safe side.
