Is there any place to order the scissor switches for the T25? My "F" key is broken

Hey all, as glad as I am that I got the T25 I knew a big issue would eventually be that it's impossible to find replacement parts for the keyboard. In the old days I would just type my thinkpad model into ebay and a million results would come up for replacement keys. No such luck for the T25. Someth...

Is there any place to order the scissor switches for the T25? Or is it compatible with some older Thinkpad keyboard scissor switches?

Do you have the Slow-Fast scale as in the first picture in this thread? https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=127342 If so, does it work? My Mouse Properties Thinkpad tab looks exactly the same, and it works fine. I don't recall there ever being two separate trackpoint sliders. What I do...

Re: Has anyone figured out how to bring back the trackpoint sensitivity option in the T4XX T5XX + line of Thinkpads?

If I understood correctly, your problem is not that the settings are not there, but that they don't work? I have a Thinkpad 25 and the speed control works for me; however, I think it may be a different trackpoint device from T470/570 (for sure it uses different caps). The Synaptics driver version i...

Has anyone figured out how to bring back the trackpoint sensitivity option in the T4XX T5XX + line of Thinkpads?

Hello! Thinkpad T470 owner here. Seems like a lot of people online are complaining (rightfully so) about not being able to adjust the trackpoint sensitivity. This is 100% a driver issue as people running Linux have no issue adjusting it. The problem is, older drivers aren't compatible with this line...

Is it possible for a docking station to break the laptop?

Hello. I have a Thinkpad T470 and it worked fine for a few weeks. Just today I received my docking station for it and plugged it in for use with my external monitor. Everything was going great until I noticed that the battery, while it said "charging", was still losing percentage in battery. I undoc...

Re: Free IBM-37L0888 IBM RT3200 Space Saver Rackmount Keyboard, not working for parts

Hi, I know this is kind of unrelated (was very nice of you to offer this keyboard up by the way...too bad I live across the country) but by any chance, do you know if when plugging a PS/2 mouse into the side/back of the keyboard, does the scroll wheel on the mouse still work? Only asking because the...

Boot from PCMCIA/Cardbus on a x61s?

When I go to install Windows XP or Windows 7 from a CD on my X61s, the SD card slot does not show up as an option; I am guessing since you cannot boot from it. However, my PCMCIA slot with a compactflash card in it does indeed show up. I've tried installing Windows to it but I do not see how to tell...

Thanks so much for your helpful reply. You weren't kidding! These 32-bit adapters are literally impossible to find! The one or two websites that listed them no longer have them in stock, and not even eBay, a place I can find issue 1 of Action Comics, can help me! Dammit!

Painfully slow PCMCIA slot? (X61s)

I did a bit of searching on the subject and it seemed as though this was fixed in a BIOS update? Could have fooled me because I am on the latest BIOS and still have the issue. The PCMCIA slot on this laptop is hilariously slow. I'm using an SSD as the main hard drive, and to give myself more space, ...

Re: ThinkPad BIOS whitelist (error 1802/1804) *READ 1st MSG*

Just to get this out of the way, the modified BIOS does not solve the issue of Lenovo capping the SATA port to 1.5MBPS, correct? I only ask because I put an awesome SSD in my x61s and I barely notice a difference, but in my desktop the difference is incredible. Plus, is there a cap set on the PCMCIA...

Ray was talking about it how to use those drives. You have to remove the backplate (Ultrabay 2000 adapter) and install it to new drive. Then you can use it in Ultrabase. Wow, I'm an idiot. If you search for Ultrabay 2000 you will have a great deal more success. (The bay in the X4 slice is Ultrabay 2000) Are you sure? I'm pretty sure my Ultrabay is listed as an X2, not a 2000.
