If the pysical layout of your previous keyboard is the same as the damaged one's, maybe you could swap all the keys to the old one.

It was already established in the op that this is not the case for all Dell models.ajkula66 wrote:Dell uses different pinouts, you'll blow a fuse on the board if you proceed...

Re: I think a D400 XGA panel with go into a X61s. Any opinions?
I believe they should work. I seem to recall that L07 has been used in some X6* models as original screen. However, you listed L03 also, which according to it's datasheet has the wrong pin order. I don't know if I have an incorrect datasheet or if L03 really is different from the others of that lcd ...

I have a N150U3-L01 from a R50p which worked without modifications on my T60p. FRU is 92P6683.

Yes, it's a thick sticker. There are holes in the lcd bezel underneath it, and the light comes from the inverter.

Re: Adding a Bluetooth Daughter card
However, I noticed that my laptop doesn't have the bluetooth status indicator which is supposed to be located at the bottom of the screen, to the right of the wireless lan indicator. That's no problem, you just don't have the BT indicator light then. Check Ebay for plates with Bluetooth indicator, ...

Re: Wireless N adaptor will not connect at N speed
They did? Why on earth would Lenovo install the AGN card if the N fuctionality was purposefully disabled (as opposed to installing the ABG card)? They sure did. I have one right here and it's model name is 4965AG. Has 3 antenna connectors though. I have no idea what possessed them to cripple perfec...

Re: Upgrades on my T61
For 1: I have heard that some T61 comes with SIM card slot, some people said they are next to battery compartment but I can't find it. Just want to know if there is no SIM card slot then that means I can't just put a WWAN mini PCIe card into my Thinkpad? The SIM-reader is available separately. Just...

Re: T60p Wifi-N ; adding Antennas in LCD lid question
If you could take pix of both and post them up, that would be very helpful. Can't they just be sistered and screwed in together? There's some room in there. Here are a couple of pictures of both. One with the red cable is the wwan main antenna and the other one is the 3rd wlan antenna. http://img25...

Re: T60p Wifi-N ; adding Antennas in LCD lid question
The 3rd wlan antenna and the main wwan antenna can not co-exist. I just ordered both, and they are both ment to be installed in the same place on the right side of the LCD cover lid (replacing the wwan cover). I am going to install the wwan main antenna and try to see if I can fit a generic wlan ant...

x60 and blank screen
I have a project x60, which I've just put together. I replaced broken parts like the power jack, the bottom case, keyboard and palmrest. Everything seems to be working but the lcd. When booting up I only get a totally white/grey picture on the lcd. On an external display I get a picture, can access ...

Re: Upgrading 14.1" T60P lcd from SXGA to UXGA
I have to say I was quite disappointed in the quality of the Sharp LQ14U1LH02. The typical problems of a TN panel seem to be very bad in this model, as it's nearly impossible to find a viewing angle with uniform brightness on the whole panel. I wonder if this is a problem with my panel only, or are ...

Re: Need EDID file for 15" UXGA panel
The IDTech N150U3-L01 from R50p should be compatible (with T60 at least). I installed one to a T60p yesterday, and was quite surprised to get it working right away, without updating edid.

Re: Upgrading 14.1" T60P lcd from SXGA to UXGA
I just succeeded in modding a T60 14,1" XGA with a Sharp UXGA panel. I'm not that good at soldering, so ended up cutting the pin 2 mechanically, but otherwise everything went pretty smoothly. Whole thing took only a few hours, including dismantling a Dell Inspiron which acted as a panel donor. Thank...

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread
Thanks for the great summary of the QXGA mod, bhtooefr. I just won a T60p from ebay with smashed screen and various missing bits and pieces. I've been looking for a IAQX10N panel for it, but it seems a bit difficult to find a source shipping to Europe with reasonable prices. If anyone knows reliable...

Re: ebay paypal checkout VS paypal only for worldwide shipping
i've requested the seller to create a new listing with worldwide shipping as ebay wouldnt let him update US shipping to worldwide on the current listing! I don't think that's necessary. Just ask him to add you to his buyer requirements exemption list and you'll be able to bid on the US-only ...

Re: 802.11n minipci advice
So can these antenna's for wireless card the third one and the WWAN sit any place without interfering with anything else. So my questions are. How long does the order and delivery in the US take? Is 1 week enough? What is better - to order item directly from Lenovo site, or from another online store? I purchased a Thinkpad a month ago while visiting US on a business trip. Lenovo and many other sellers require that you...
