x61t sudden death

when I was using it the other day (with AC adapter), it suddenly lost power and refused to turn on again. I switched to another adapter, with or without the battery back, got the same result, the AC indicator LED never lit. Since it is already out of warranty, so I opened it up to see what's going o...

Re: Hotkey fails intermittently (and possible solution)

k0lo: Thanks for your feedback, I am glad that it helps in some cases. The hotkey problem is one of several reasons that I gave up Windows 7 beta, I tried various solutions proposed online but none of them really worked for me. Actually I did consider using Task Scheduler to start the service automa...

Virtual CD/DVD software

Anyone can recommend a virtual CD/DVD software that is compatible with Windows 7 x64?

Daemon Tools: will not install at all
Virtual CloneDrive: while it is active, any access to the virtual Drive after a recovery from sleep will definitely freeze the explorer. Restart is the only solution.

Thanks,

Re: Running on an X61 Tablet - first impressions

Another clean installed Windows 7. most problems were solved. 1. most of time the trackpoint scrolling works. 2. the same, but I can live with it. 3. Fn+F5 is still working 4. it works now, the trick is to install intel driver provided by Lenovo first. otherwise it complains that it can not found OE...

X61t draw twice the power as x60s in sleep mode

battery drop was measured in sleep mode.
x60s: L2400 (1.66GHz), 1.5GB
x61t: L7500 (1.6GHz), 4GB

1st result:
x60s 2.35Wh in 7h12m
x61t 4.85Wh in 8h04m

2nd result
x60s 3.48Wh in 11h22m
x61t 6.81Wh in 11h24m

Does this sound normal?

It seems that CPU-z does not report correctly, today I tried vista's own resource monitor and RMClock, they both report that CPU is working in the proper mode.

When I set the CPU to "Adaptive" mode, I can see the operating frequency switches between 1.6GHz (x8 ) and 1.2GHz (x6). Any other modes (High, Low, Lowest) always make CPU operate at max frequency.
