I have a W700 that's a few years old. I found a pack of blank Sony DVD-R, and can't burn with them. I just get errors that the drive is unformatted and/or unavailable. My purchase order says:

SBB DVD REC 8X MAXULTRENHSATA

Any suggestions as to which DVD's will work?

Uh oh, little yellow flag here on this thread: We don't pull the battery, we just leave it connected, and it's definitely not drained completely. Shouldn't an interruption just switch to battery?
