Hi there, I got the same problem on my T61p. I've also noticed that after that "newer" driver installed, I couldn't run a lot of those old games like: Age of Empire 2, Start Craft, Diablo you name it. Always told me that I don't have a DirectX compatible graphic card. Not sure if you have this issue...
