On startup its immediately dim, i can't see a tint even if its there. The screen size is 14.1" and resolutions... 1400x1050 or so I believe, i'm not entirely sure. The model was 2686 E7U. T43 screen won't fully light up

On my T43, my monitor isn't fully lighting up anymore. However, one thing I noticed is when I press the "button" that the monitor pushes when you close the monitor that turns off the monitor power to it to save energy, the screen doesn't actually shut down anymore. Nevermind...

I actually got a swiss army knife and just carved at this solidified black substance and eventually removed enough that the heatsink pulled away. Freaken ridiculous and the scariest thing i've ever had to do to the inside of a computer. It was on top of my GPU.

T43 fan replacement, can't remove fan

I'm attempting to replace the fan/heatsink module on my T43 and I've come across a... bad problem. The headsink also covers what I assume is another chipset, maybe northbridge. However, I can't seem to get it to dislodge from the chipset. Seriously... it's as if the thermal paste has just solidified...
