Re: ArcaOS 5.00 on an Lenovo IdeaPad?

I read on the forum at https://www.os2world.com that it is an USB 3.0 problem - I guess they don't have support for 3.0 yet.

I believe there is an USB flash drive ArcaOS could be installed from. I am checking it out.

ArcaOS 5.00 on an Lenovo IdeaPad?

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad that I am trying to install ArcaOS 5.0 on. It gets to 'internal revision 14.200_SMP' and stops. It goes no farther. It was on sale at Best Buy store (said it did not have a power adapter but it was in the box). Lenovo IdeaPad 120S_14IAP BIOS 6GCN20WW MIM 81A5001UUS Lenovo SN ...

New Section for ReactOS or under Windows?

I am been watching the development of ReactOS - an open source clone of Windows. Would it need a separate section or would it be part of one of the Windows sections? http://www.reactos.org :?: https://svn.reactos.org/press-media/trunk/art/Logo/OrbString/ReactOSTB.svg Admin warning : picture WAY too ...

Install ArcaOS from a flash drive

One can now install ArcaOS from a flash drive. With so few laptops having an optical drive, I think this is a good thing. https://www.arcanoae.com/blue-lion/ https://www.arcanoae.com/arcaos-5-0-2-bootable-usb-stick-image-2018-02-12-package-released/ 8) https://www.arcanoae.com/wp-content/uploads/201...

Re: Installing OS/2 from USB stick

I have never tried it before but it would be interesting to see how it would be done and give it a try. It seems so many computers / laptops don't have an optical drive but usually have USB ports. I will check out the link. 8)

Re: Blue Lion - OS/2 - eCS replacement?

I am looking forward to Blue Lion. It would be neat to use it on the laptop that I have the eComStation 2.2 beta. It works but there are features that are not available. It could be that it is an older computer. 8) https://www.arcanoae.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Blue_Lion_Logo_White-624x468.png ...

Re: eCS 2.0 Is Out

eComStation is an operating system based on the OS/2 kernel from IBM. Serenity Systems has developed eComStation. The latest version - 2.0 - has just recently been released. It does modern hardware; IIRC. I have been using OS/2 now eCS since Warp version 3. I am a fan of both OS/2 and eCS. :P http:/...
