integrated camera dead?
Hi, My x201t's integrated camera suddenly stopped working. In device manager it shows under USB controllers: "Unknown Device". On the properties for that item, it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I tried uninstalling the driver, scanning for new HW,...

Re: factory fresh X201s is stealing the <Shift+Esc> keystroke
Here's a random suggestion: look at the bluetooth utility. Really. A few years ago I ran into a problem where hitting caps lock would pop up a little message on the bottom right of the screen (above the normal windows icons) which would STEAL THE FOCUS. [censored] me off to no end until I tracked it...

Re: adding an Intel 6250 to X201t?
If you have a Clear account and are getting the splash page you should be able to click the "Existing Customer" link. (You may have to click another login link in the upper right hand corner of the page first.) Then you can login and switch the MAC address to your 6250 card. They say you have to ca...

thinkpod : Good hear all is well and you have a working WiMax connection - What speeds are you experiencing? Ha, well it looks like "a happy ending" was mentioned too soon. Re: adding an Intel 6250 to X201t?
Ok, the adventure continues! After lots of googling about the 6250, I realized that I was missing the "WIMAX Connection Utility" from Intel, which by screen shots seemed like it could check my HW and see if it was functioning. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several versions of the drivers fro...

Yes. As far as I could see, there was only one option "Wireless LAN and WIMAX radios".visionviper wrote:Is WIMAX enabled in the BIOS?

Sprint WiMAX setup with internal Intel 6250?
Thanks for the encouragement. Got the 6250, replaced my 6300 following the HMM. You are correct that the 6250 only has two antennas. The 6250 showed in device manager no problem Lenovo System Update didn't find it, so I manually downloaded and installed the drivers from Lenovo (installed both WIFI a...

adding an Intel 6250 to X201t?
Hi,
I have an Intel 6300 in my X201t, and want to get WiMAX for Sprint.
Can I just buy replace it with a 6250 (FRU 60Y3195)?
Do I need any other parts (antennas?)?
Thanks!

Intel VT on T410s?
Hi, I'd like to get a T410s (with discrete NV graphics) that is capable of Intel VT. As far as I understand, not all Thinkpads have this enabled? And the only way to know if a thinkpad supports it is to get one that is labelled vPro? However, when selecting/configuring a T410s on the website, there'...

Sorry, didn't know about the new rule... I've got a T60p (with the [censored] NMI parity problem), but I don't have my recorvery discs handy. I made a set from the factory install, then installed XP clean from disc, so I don't have R&R installed to make a new set. I should be able to put my hands on...

thinkvantage button -> startup interrupt menu?!?
Hi, I searched and couldn't find an answer here, but sorry if this has been asked before. I want to wipe my machine back to factory settings, but when I hit the thinkvantage button on boot, it takes me to the "Startup Interrupt Menu" instead of the predesktop interface, and I can't seem to get to th...

Hey Peter, I have the exact same problem - it took me a while to realize the correlation with batter power, but it's 100% - my system is rock solid on AC. I thought it might be powerplay, but turning that off didn't solve it. FYI, I'm running IBM display drivers on a clean (non-IBM) XP Pro install. ...

Ooh, thanks!!! Doing it by eye with the Adobe Gamma control panel got me 90% happy. And by looking at a non-dithered zoomed grey scale while adjusting, I've answered my own question - all this adjustment happens on the analog side, so you don't loose any color accuracy. whew. But now that I'm lookin...

Do you have Adobe Photoshop? Or better yet some hardware calibrator like a Huey or an Eye-One or a Spyder? Yes, I've got Photoshop. Does that have some color calibration mode? So, here's a deeper question. Say I adjust the color controls in Catalyst Control. Where is the adjustment made? In the (8b...

T60p LCD colors again...
Ok, I just got my T60p (2613HQU) and love it so far. (replacing a T41p). Except my LCD color is off - I have a TMD display (13N7063) (see http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-62784). I've tried tweaking the colors in ATI Catalyst Control panel, but I c...

wrong recovery CD's??
Hey all, (I just got my t41p from Bill, and it rocks.) I ordered a set of recovery CD's for my T41p 2373GEU and IBM sent me CD's that say thay are for "Thinkpad T40, T40p Type 2373, 2374" and "3/15/2003" and "P/N 01R8066." I can't find any info on whether these are the right CD's for me, but my gut ...
