Thanks. I also suspected that but I have 3 batteries, 2 - 6 cell and 1 - 4 cell, original and they all do the same. I think it has something to do with the higher internal impedance of battery compared to mains voltage. I believe it is a system power management problem. Never had this before.

Same problem here with X200 after I installed an X25 80gb SSD. I didn't have the problem before i swapped in the SSD and used MS EZ transfer to get the same setup. I removed Add-Ons in Firefox one by one until I found one that was causing the slow down with the SSD. Now we are back to normal.

I have the Intel X25 80gb and was thinking of getting the Filemate 48gb Expresscard but read some reports that this device runs hot. Do you find that to be the case?
