Re: FS: ThinkPad Edge 14" & 15" - all excellent w/SSDs & Win10- $79 each delivered

Howdy Ed! This ad needs a bump if you still have the 15” Edge? My father-in-law could use an upgrade from his T400s and I am wondering about this one. He uses a usb keyboard and mouse, and mostly surfs and researches things that interest him, over a WiFi connection. Keeps his unit plugged in so batt...

Re: FS: T430 i5-3320M 8GB RAM 500GB HDD Win 10 Pro

what functionality, if any, has been lost by installing Win 10? which drivers are not available? loss of function keys? I love my current T410 and Windows 7 and hate to make changes but could use your T430 to try out Win 10 for my FIL and myself. Will you accept Paypal?

Thank you Underclocker, pm coming. You have just given me an easier option than spending spring break updating my T60p to Win7 and an SSD. I could do it but this sounds better! Time for mom to get a new toy! Happy Friday

Re: FS: Near Mint T60p T7200/SXGA+/3GB/120GB/DVDR/BT - $265 PIC

Can I pull the 250GB hitachi hard drive from my T60 2007-46U, change GPU, display, and wireless drivers, put it in and be good to go? This drive was loaded from a set of T60 recovery discs for Windows XP pro. Or does the T60p have more differences? I really like my T60 14" 4:3 machine, I just wish i...

video/ BIOS settings for M55p when adding video card?

I have acquired a ThinkCentre M55p (2007-D1U) off Craigslist. I now have it at 3GB RAM, a new DVD burner because the original combo drive croaked, and found a used (also Craigslist) GeForce 8600GT 256MB video card to try my hand at. I am running Windows XP pro from the original 80GB hard drive. The ...

Re: WTB: T4x / R5x 9-cell battery

I am readying my T43-1871 to pass on to my father-in-law. He will use it docked, and can keep the 6 cell battery so I am willing to sell the 9 cell battery it came with. Fru 92-P1077, Sanyo mfg 2008-06-18, first use 2008-09, 195 cycles. I was surprised when I plugged it in last night and Power Manag...

Re: WTB: T60 items

Thanks to Fred for the battery tip at the Lenovo Outlet, and to Underclocker for two T60 feet! I am giving up on replacing the latch at this time and locking this thread. Great Forum!

WTB: T60 items

picked up a 14" 2007-46U off Craigslist last month and need 2 things for it: 1. one or two front rubber feet. One from a T60 or could use a pair from a T43 2. Latch hook kit to replace the right lid latch. Do not need to replace screen, just hook that was broken off. Advice appreciated on this one, ...

Re: Lid Latch repair difficulty on T60?

thanks again Ray! for both the ebay feedback tip and the info about popping the LCD bezel off-I think I could handle that, I was just worried about messing things up if I have to take the whole thing off at the hinges and pull it all apart!

Re: Lid Latch repair difficulty on T60?

Thanks Ray! have you ordered parts from this seller before? I see a few other things I would be inclined to pick up as well. Would you advise taking off the LCD assembly from the base and then unscrewing the screws around the bezel to get the cover off? Not really sure I want to tackle this one myse...

Lid Latch repair difficulty on T60?

OK, T60 gurus, I need some input. I bought a T60, 2007-46U, last weekend off Craigslist. Great screen, good keyboard, corners worn on the lid but everything seems to function well. The seller knocked of $10 more when I noticed the right lid latch was broken. Left one works but right side has the lit...

WTT: T43 recovery discs for T43 recovery discs

I have sold my T43 2686 with discrete graphics and acquired an 1871-4CU with integrated graphics. I want to do a fresh install of Windows XP pro on my newer Fujitsu 120gb hard drive(saved from 2686) and use the original 40gb hard drive for storage in the Ultrabay slim. If anyone is interested in swa...

Re: Who was the recommended seller on eBay for T40 batteries?

When I was hunting for batteries I missed the last scratch & dent sale at Lenovo-but the T40 batteries were back on their site last night. The ebay seller I saw referenced in someone else's note on this forum was RRRenterprises-you can pull up his store from Ebay. I did not order from him-found a go...

Re: T43 new hard drive-how long to use Product recovery cd's?

RichK-thanks so much for the time frame reference-It's about what I guessed, and of course doing updates can take all night or all day, but I can batch those between other projects. Johan-thanks so much for your pointers. I had read about initializing the new hard drive back when I put a spare 20GB ...

T43 new hard drive-how long to use Product recovery cd's?

Hello Thinkpadders-I am a new T43 user, long time reader.Recently bought a T43 2686-DHU from the original owner, 60 GB Fujitsu hard drive (with 2010 error) which he had done a fresh install of XP-pro on. No recovery materials, no pre-loaded software at all. Everything works fine. Replaced 512 Ram wi...
