i emailed lenovo a few days ago asking about the possibilities of the X301 successor i.e. X302, and today i had a reply from them mentioning thee is absolutely no news on it. they een said that the X301 is a new machine!! i mea are the poeple at lenovo living in a different world to us?

I guess I have to go back to the original post here, is there any news on when the X302 will come out and what would be the most likely features and components? I am really keen on it but have not been able to gain any info on the release date of such machine..

the apple's macbook air and the sony's vaio TT and Z series are all good laptops depending on what you looking for really.. for the price of the so called X302 (if it comes out) you can get a fully customised vaio TT (full HD screen, blue ray, SSD, card reader, almost 10 hours of battery, ..) or eve...

I agree with you beaker, with all the changes at Lenovo its hard to imagine they will bring any series soon let alone cramping all you get in sony, in the X302. I wish it would happen but its very unlikely, have to say thoug, I dont think apple is any good at all, its just for whom to show off: look...

I couldnt agree with you more. As I said I ma very keen on the next generationg of the X301, and not bothered much with the full 1080p HD od blueray, however having a painfully slow processor and a mediocare motherboeard, with onboard sound and graphic cards is certainly not tot the way to go..
