I'm trying to find a way to upgrade the bios on my 770z without a good battery. There is a way to do the 600 series but the file names for the 770x and 770z are different. I'm pretty sure that it will not work the same way. If anyone has an idea or knows of a way to do this, please let us know. Than...

Selectadock and 770Z
Hello to All, I have a question concerning the Selectadock. I noticed that the Selectabase and dock combination seems to block the exhaust of a 770 notebook. Right now I have upgraded my 770Z to a PIII-450 and am running into a slight overheating problem. Does the docking system have it's own fan sy...

770Z bios update and battery
Hello to All,
Is it possible to update the bios on a 770Z without a good battery? I have seen postings about doing this without a battery for the 600 series, but not for the 770.
If it is possible, how do you do it?
Thanks.

770Z Memory question
Hello All, I just successfully upgraded my 770Z to a PIII 450 with a single pc100 128MB stick of memory. Upgrade problem-Continued
I went ahead and restored the 770Z back to original and it works. I'm still checking on the memory I used. Also, since I have found that other persons have had problems using the Celeron for this upgrade, I now have a PIII-450, non-speedstep cpu that I will try. I also got another low density 128Mb,...

770Z Upgrade-Problem
I tried to upgrade my 770Z using a Celeron 500Mhz cpu. I also changed the system memory (the hard to reach one) to a 128MB PC100 SODIMM. When I attempted to boot up the system, all I got was one long beep and a few, 2 or 3, short beeps, and then nothing. No screen or any other indications that it wa...
