Just run a program (PC Wizard 2008) to display your system's hardware components. When I did it displayed the Samsung LCD part number which let me to online product specs indicating my LCD was not LED backlit. Or search for your type # in the tabook.pdf file. That also worked for me.

One can't discount Lenovo so quickly. If you do a Google search for the type # of the notebook I received (2242-35U) and the string "led backlit" then you will get a dozen or so hits coming from numerous vendors all with similar incorrect specs.
