You must be talking about the 12 Cell Battery. It sticks out little more than an inch. Battery life would be about 4 hrs and 30 mins I guess. Atleast that how long I am getting it.

1600 Mhz is 1.6 Ghz. So you have a T30 with 2 Ghz and T41 with 1.6 Ghz.
