I don't think it's software--I've always used the Logitech drivers and configuration apps. I'll try SetPoint, but I'm suspecting some sort of hardware-connection issue, since there are reports of different brands of adapter behaving differently.

The only change in behavior I noticed was that at first the fan wouldn't run right (it would rev up and down) and the hard drive wouldn't spin up....
