Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p

After following some advice here and on reddit, I'm having trouble with artifacts still showing up on screen while connected to Ultrabase, looks something like voltage errors. I taped with kaplan: [HUGE pictures!!!] http://i.imgur.com/aTMeFGr.jpg Followed this instruction : http://i.imgur.com/XjGmbz...

I have two of these that I bought extra, both are the LED backlit version. Call me a pleb but I actually like this KB vs the X220. Little signs of wear but functions fine. $25 shipped ea. CONUS. The removal of the resistor (for the USB3 LED) on the i7 x220 series - this doesn't apply to x230 i7 series correct? The manual literally says that it applies to i7 X220 only, so yes. Roger that, just ordered the LP125WF2 SPB4 from win0win! Another Q for the pedantic; is the generic intel HD4000 dr...

Re: X220 FHD Upgrade?

The above picture is from the X220. For the X230 that soldering point is on the left of the LCD-connector you see at the top on that picture (see also Instructions-PDF, Figure 6 (right hand picture). That part I understood; it was the 'obvious' part I wasn't clear on - the 7 brass connections that ...

Re: X220 FHD Upgrade?

When it says "make holes" is it to poke holes through the black protective film? No, you poke holes through the polyamide tape that you stick on the adapter board. the 7 brass hole connections- do I need to remove the solder on each connector before re-soldering them on again? No. Just place the ad...

Will there be any method to run as DMA-5 drive? Firmware update possibly??

loyukfai, I have the same impression too - speedwise it feels a bit snappier when some programs or large file transfer. Mostly, the benefits are low heat and noise.

Brightness changes for me when I disconnect the AC power. It is in the BIOS setting (under power options, I believe).

Re: Microsoft Windows 7 on IBM ThinkPad X41 Tablet

After using the X41 tablet on Windows 7 for a week, I've noticed that adobe flash video is choppy and Firefox.exe (latest version 3.5.6) typically uses 70+% of CPU resources when playing flash videos. I assume it is graphics related...but I'm not sure if the problem is related to use of SSD too. I h...

Re: X41 2010 error; how solve or cancel it?

Reverting the BIOS back to 74uj01us or version 1.00 on the Driver's Matrix page will do the job. They are now up to version 2.09 and I found my X41 to be a little shaky after the install, (I don't know how else to describe it) but it did get rid of the 2010 error. The error starts on the second BIO...
