Re: Finally, a new Thinkpad! X41 Tablet

MS Paint doesn't take advantage of pressure sensitivity. Try using inkart (from ms tablet pc experience pack), or as you mentioned photoshop. I tried to configure GIMP to respond to pressure but didn't make it. You should really try it. I had a resistive (passive) touchscreen in my previous tablet p...

Re: Sound(+overall performance)stutters when SD in use(X41Tb+W7)

Open the task manager and try copying any file from or to SD card. You'll see the reason behing the stutter. I don't know why but using integrated card reader in x41t puts a lot of pressure on CPU. It's either poor drivers or some sloppy hardware design. I've also tried to solve this but nothing so ...

Re: external maximum resolution for X31

OS doesn't make a difference. X31 has a ATI mobility radeon 7000 which supports resolution up to 2048x1536, so 1680x1050 is ok. Seems it should be able to display HD, but It's probably gonna be a mess with analogue VGA port. Answering your question: NO, you won't be able to go above 2048x1536 whatev...

I bet you have your card set for American channels (1-11) and your router is set on 12th or 13th. Change it to ETSI channels (1-13) and you'll find your network :]

Re: external maximum resolution for X31

Hmm not sure about the X41, but the max I can get out off X41t is 1600x1200, so double check before you buy it.

Re: Tablet Functions and OS Choices?

You won't find XP Tablet 2005 anywhere. It's not available for purchase. The only way you can get it is to purchase CDs bundled with your laptop model off eBay. You can also get it of MSDNAA, but you'd have to be a student. There's a lot of cool touch friendly apps on linux (like xournal which is 10...

Re: Stylus alternative for X41t

Yes, there are few alternatives. I've bought old Wacom Penpartner serial tablet for 1 pound and it works. Doesn't fit the slot though, but on the other hand u can use both end (pen + eraser). Interesting thing is that the eraser part works out of the box. Pressure sensitivity as well. Generally olde...

Re: Refresh rate only 50hz? How to get 60hz(eyestrain+headaches!

Guys, you're using a laptop. It has a LCD screen. There's no such thing as screen flickering because of low refresh rate, so no eye strain. CRTs refresh whole screen according to their refresh rate, and that's what causes headaches and eye strain, while LCDs simply change the pixels that actually do...

Re: X41 Charging/Battery problem...

Hi, Any luck finding the cause? I seem to have exactly the same problem with my x41 tablet. To make matters worse recently my battery died (it remains at 0% all the time) yet it doesn't shut down immediately after unplugging Oo' My sis also has the same thinkpad, but everything's ok with it. I tried...
