Re: T60 Question
The max RAM is 3GB by chipset limitation. So even if it had a 64-bit processor, there'd be no sense to it [censored]. Not using identical RAM modules, you are disabling dual channel(using RAM only at half of the speed). And about 3GB limit its not chipset, but BIOS limitations, and there are thread...

 Ok, I knew Linux is faster than Windows in many aspects, but I didn´t know that it is in fact that optimized... (especially since HDD encryption reduces performance). Would you mind providing more details as to what free driver (?) you use to play 1080p resp. your video playback setup. Thanks...

Re: I think I got ripped off
FireGL V5200 is X1600 with flashed VBIOS. FireGL/Quadro drivers often caused problems for gamers, so they often used different hacks(including VBIOS flashing), so I would check if its not that(but should be X1600 anyway, not X1300). I am not gamer, so its not important for me, I would got intel card...

Re: T-60 corrupted image: bad LCD or EDID? (picture)
I dont think it can be LCD related problem, because as much as I know(I can be mistaken), signal to LCD on digital connection is always provided in native resolution, so its probably Windows problem. Try booting some linux distrubutions, there are many tools for reading EDID, etc. I think that burni...

Hi All! I got 15" t60p UXGA FLexView, with M/B rev03, which upgraded to 4GB, Core 2 Duo 4 and 500GB spinpoint M7. I saw this thread before buying, and was sure that there will be solution soon. (but sadly it now looks as inactive thread, with dead links). I am using 64bit PLD Th-test, with grub2, an...
