WTB: 2 genuine T400 Adapter
Hi! I'm looking for a pair of T400 adapter. I will use them with my trusty X300, so both 65W and 90W are OK. Ideally one 65W and one 90W, ideally with the two-prong rather than the three prong adapter. They must be genuine Lenovo part. If USPS shipping to Mexico is possible all the better, else I ca...

Re: The T43 that IBM never built - but we did - HUGE PICS
On T43s, Intel board will support XGA only on 14". You are only speaking of the internal LCD, right? And not about an external monitor. Well, anyway fyi, I noticed huge improvement in my T43 handling of high resolution external monitor with the latest windows7 Intel drivers -the one downloaded auto...

X61 GPU overheating or not?
I was wondering what the normal temperature is for the GPU on a Thinkpad X61. I got a X61 from eBay that was overheating. After applying new thermal paste and undervolting the processor, the processor temperature seems now under control: Idle temp is 52C° with fan off, stress temp about 80C° (with t...

Re: Avast! ver 7.0.1407 Observation
Avast claims the main Works program is a 'baddie' and sticks it in its 'sandbox'. After that the PC bluescreens. Avast also does not allow this program to run as an exception. You can disable the Sandbox in additional protection options. I always do that -it creates more problem than it solves-. Al...

Re: Avast! ver 7.0.1407 Observation
I have experienced a lot with MSE, Avast, Avira, McAfee, Eset Nod32 & Kaspersky. Avast is now my antivirus of choice, over Kaspersky as second. Avast consistently gave me the best overall result : Detection is great (So far only Avast & Kaspersky never failed me). I found it to be the the easiest AV...

12" WXGA (1280x800) LCD :
Is it a CCFL LCD or a Led one? I remember reading that both were available for the X200, with the Led being brighter.

Re: Positive feedback for FAIR Traders
Many thanks to Underclocker for selling me a great T60. Communication was great, the T60 arrived promptly (Payment was sent on Monday and the laptop arrived on Wednesday), and the condition was excellent. You can't do any better, thanks!

LF: Spanish X61 keyboard/sleeve case & T43 T60 spanish kb
I'm looking for a X61, T60/T61 & T40/T41/T42/T43 Keyboard, new or lightly used (the X61 is the normal laptop, not the tablet version). Both 14.1" and 15", both Latin America or International Spanish layout. I also need a 12" sleeve case to protect a new X61 if anyone have one lying around, 4/3 sleev...

Re: Pricing Advice; TP T61......
Is the laptop in good cosmetic conditions? This will also affect the price alot, posting good pictures of the laptop is very appreciated.
I think the date is important because units produced prior to a certain date are plagued by unreliable Nvidia chips, a T61 owner could certainly tell you more.

Re: Where to find a new T43 battery? What about eBay battery?
I finally purchased a genuine 9 cell from eBay. New, 64$ including worldwide shipping. I will let you know after receiving it how it worked out. I received the battery earlier this week. Shipping took about 12 days from Singapore to Mexico. The Battery was brand new and well packaged, although quit...

Re: If you had to use another brand of computer what would it be
Another Pro laptop? I would probably go for an HP Elitebook or a Sony Vaio. Last week I actually saw an entry level Vaio (VGN-NW215T) in Sam's that have a really great chiclet keyboard, I was really impressed. I actually looked for it on Sony website, but it's apparently a lone model and not a part ...

Re: Where to find a new T43 battery? What about eBay battery?
BTW, does any T43 owners with a similar T43 than mine could tell me how much battery life I could expect with a new 6 cell battery? I'm weighing whether to go for a 6 or a 9 cell. I would use the Maximun Battery life power profile, screen at 40% brightness, Wifi & Bluetooth on, while doing a mix of ...

Re: Where to find a new T43 battery? What about eBay battery?
Thanks for your replies & for the link. As I've said before on this forum, I've had ZERO luck with aftermarket batteries - they usually last less than a year (but don't completely fail, so you can't get them replaced under any warranty). Try the Lenovo scratch and dent site - they have good betterie...

Where to find a new T43 battery? What about eBay battery?
Hi! I’m new here, but I have been lurking for a while since I have purchased a T43 in 2006. I still find my T43 sufficiently snappy for my needs, but my original battery is in poor condition and I need a new one to be able to keep using my T43 as my main workhorse. Does any of you already tried one ...
