Re: Broken structure frame of T60p [pic]. Need advice
Same thing happened to my T60. Actually the whole piece broke off and came out. I used JB-Weld. You can put on extra then file off the excess for clearance. Be sure to let it harden completely (48 hours). It has been rock solid for a few weeks now. JB-Weld is some good stuff drillable, thread-able. ...

Re: upgrade xga to sxga+
Oops. The description says it is for an IBM, but there is no FRU# that I see. If it does not plug and play, could I use the registered version of PowerStrip and load a sxga.dat file to the EDID ROM. If so, where could I find a copy of a sxga.dat file? Or would I have to write my own? Sorry about all...

upgrade xga to sxga+
I have the 64MB ATI Radeon X1300 video chip set.
Do I need to do anything special to the EDID ROM,
like in this post :http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=77733
Or would it just be plug and play?

Re: RAM with Cas Latency 4
Thanks for the quick response, I was able to confirm that the T60 will, in fact, run RAM designed to run at 4,4,4,12 timings. The cost of the RAM with Cas Latency of 4 is the same as the RAM with Cas Latency of 5. I do not see why I would need to overclock anything in the T60, to run ram with a Cas ...

RAM with Cas Latency 4
I want to upgrade the ram on my T60.
I konw that the chipset limit is 3GB, but I dont know if it will support a Cas Latency or 4 ( 4,4,4,12 timing).
Does anyone know if the T60 can support Cas Latency of 4 ( 4,4,4,12 timing)?
If not I guess Ill have to get the Cas Latency of 5 (5,5,5,15) timing).

Re: T42p and 2.5G processor
[quote="imperialist Unfortunatley there is no such thing as "the idle and max load temps". It all depends on environmental temperature, rpm, heatsink, and also place where you put your thinkpad. My pentiumM 1.5 Banias was usually round 42-45° C when placed on a desk with 3000rpm, and idle . Best reg...

Re: Help:WPA2 on T42p Intel LAN 2100 3B wireless mini PCI card
That did it.
I have a t40 with the 2100 wireless LAN adapter.
My network is WPA.
1.2.4.41 driver fixed WPA network connection issues
Thank you, to all who maintain and contribute to this truly helpful forum. Sad to say not all are helpful, some rather childish.

Re: T42p and 2.5G processor
The 2.1GHz PM765 will work but it runs real hot. A 2.0GHx PM755 might be a better bet. Do you have any experience with the PM765 in a t40? Would it do okay, heat wise, if I reset the heat sink with some high end thermal compound? Say arctic silver. Does anyone know what the idle and max load temps ...
