Hi, I have noticed today, that my red dot on ThinkPad logo shines very week. Only during restart its light is strong. Afert that it is so poor, that I can see it only in very dark room. What is the reason? Is it possible some aplication can affect on diode strenght?

I performed battery reset during last night. From this time I have used x300 for about a hour on battery and nothing happened.

Hello. From one week I have used x300 from eBay. My unit is in great condition, battery is not bad but twice I had strange problem. My x300 do not see battery. It happens suddenly, just like that. My TP x61x after Power Manager upgrade forced me to restore all system from backup. I have the same problem plus strange gauge troubles. It doesn't show ramaning battery time and I can't hide it. After some reinstalls and reboots all system was down. So I have my old PM, think I will upgrade to next...

I have both, x31 and x61s machines.
In my opinion, x61s is brighter than x31.
I can't compare them now, because x31 is at my work. I bring it for Christmas (to make some updates) so i can send comparison photography of both displays.

i dont know for sure but i think u dont have to register your machine with IBM.
Now all u have to do for look at your warranty, parts lookup and update of drivers is Access IBM.
Just press one button and all is clear-thats what i do.
