Me neither - I don't think I even kept it long enough to see the arrival of SP1, but nice to hear that it has gotten so much betterHarryc wrote:Glad I read this thread too. I don't recall trying Vista past SP1, so I think I'll revisit it some time

Windows Vista compared to All other Windows OS?
I am no tech genius, so I'v been thinking about - why is it that Vista was so INCREDIBLY slow and resource demanding, compared to Windows 7, XP etc.?
When I changed from Vista to Win 7 back when my machine was stock, it got A LOT faster - what did Microsoft do wrong in Vista?

Re: Windows 7 on T60p - 32-bit or 64-bit
If you have the Core Duo, stick with 32-bit as there really nis no need for you to install the 64 bit as you cant benefit from the extra RAM available

Re: Loss of wireless connectivity for encrypted networks - T60
It could not be something as simple as if your friends changed some security settings /and or other settings on their router? - I tried that a few times, and it was a lil tricky to get it to work with Access Connections :? But you could also try to run system update and see if you're on the latest d...

I like my fingerscanner , because you just swipe your finger and hey presto you're logged in - same on websites, plus I think it gives a good security for my computer, when I have it with me to several different networks and locations.

Hey Thinkpadders!
I am wondering about what freeware programs you guys are using on your Thinkpads/3000's ?
I use Ccleaner and Defraggler. Anyone with any good recommendations, or just some fun and/or useful freeware programs?
