Pick the ones for Windows 7 :-)

Or write your serial number in the little window on the right side of the page and then pick your OS to be Windows 7 :-)

Me neither - I don't think I even kept it long enough to see the arrival of SP1, but nice to hear that it has gotten so much better :-)

Windows Vista compared to All other Windows OS?

I am no tech genius, so I'v been thinking about - why is it that Vista was so INCREDIBLY slow and resource demanding, compared to Windows 7, XP etc.?

When I changed from Vista to Win 7 back when my machine was stock, it got A LOT faster - what did Microsoft do wrong in Vista? :-)

Re: Windows 7 on T60p - 32-bit or 64-bit

If you have the Core Duo, stick with 32-bit as there really nis no need for you to install the 64 bit as you cant benefit from the extra RAM available

Run the System Update utility on your Thinkpad :-) if you don't have it you can download it here

Just choose the one for your OS :-)

I hope this can help you

Re: Loss of wireless connectivity for encrypted networks - T60

It could not be something as simple as if your friends changed some security settings /and or other settings on their router? - I tried that a few times, and it was a lil tricky to get it to work with Access Connections :? But you could also try to run system update and see if you're on the latest d...

Re: Fingerprint reader: good piece of kit or gimmicky junk?

I like my fingerscanner , because you just swipe your finger and hey presto you're logged in - same on websites, plus I think it gives a good security for my computer, when I have it with me to several different networks and locations.

I have chosen to upgrade to 64 bit and I am impressed! that extra RAM really speeds things up and I haven't had any problems so far with any Lenovo drivers or various programs! It is great!

32-bit or 64-bit? - that's the question

Hey all Thinkpadders! I have to decide wheither to keep running my Win7 ultimate 32-bit or to get the Win7 ultimate 64-bit. So I use my T61p to play a few games, Battlefield 2 - a mod for BF2, Portal and a few other Steam games if I feel like installing them. Other than that I use it to surf, Live m...

Freeware

Hey Thinkpadders!

I am wondering about what freeware programs you guys are using on your Thinkpads/3000's ?

I use Ccleaner and Defraggler. Anyone with any good recommendations, or just some fun and/or useful freeware programs? :)

And yeah I'm REALLY pleased with this Thinkpad, I had a T61 before this and it was great - but this T61p with better performance is really the best computer I've had. powerful portable and extremely reliable /durable
