Strange because WXGA+ or WSXGA is 1440x900, which is the type they list in the spec sheet.

This is the case for the x201s. It has a standard 1280x800 screen with an option for a higher-res 1440x900 screen.

However, the x201 only has the WXGA screen, which is 1280x800.

I plan on purchasing an x201s for heavy school use for the next two semesters, so through next May, after which it will become my go-to laptop for portable development use (CS mostly). I was planning on waiting towards the end of summer, but should I jump on this now? How soon can we expect to wait ...

I have the 5143-28U X201s and I love it. I think you can pick up a X25-M 160 GB (150 usable) SSD on ebay for about $320 and I'd do that. Unfortunately, since they're currently unavailable from Lenovo, it looks like I'll be stuck with the 6200. This isn't a huge deal; I wanted WiMAX more for future-proofing than anything else.
