Re: Wanted urgently: People who know a half century-old computer language so states can process unemployment claims

Well it took months for the State of Ohio get their unemployment system up to speed to handle the volume and changes to the system. No thanks to all the old COBOL programmers out there!

The fact remains that the chicom govt blocked travel from wuhan to within their own country and allowed international travel from wuhan to the rest of the world from "at least December, maybe earlier". That's not a fact; this is something, which currently seems to have been made up by you (by misin...

Sec State Pompeo stated what is "December at least"? It seems to me that you are either misunderstanding or deliberately obfuscating things. Can you find me a single direct quote of a reliable source that says there was any internal isolation of Wuhan before January? Here is the full sentence of wh...

The funny thing to me is that in reality, even politicians like Orban or Trump are still "globalists". Neither is willing to leave the world market and both have to cope with the reality of that world market, And this is where I stop debating you. I am an old man and have no time for this type of n...

Re: Corona-COVID-19 virus statistics and HOW is it affecting you.. what are you doing..?

The chicoms didn't start isolating wuhan internally in late Jan, it was months earlier. Can't go into further details. They knew what they were doing. From the same site that George linked to. It clearly says "at least Dec", but it was even earlier than that: Likely correct...there are a number of ...

I have booted from a USB drive with W7 in X220, W520 and T420's with no issues. However, the boot drive was created while installed in the laptop, then moved to an external enclosure. Cannot determine what the issue is with your laptop. What laptop is this?

COBOL. Maybe you could make a few extra bucks. Anyone? I never got past FORTRAN, BASIC and ASSEMBLER.

There's a lot of unemployed people waiting on this.

The governor of Ohio is instituting a stay at home order effective Monday midnight. He's been very aggressive with state requirements. which I believe in retrospect will be considered the best way to go.

Re: Corona-COVID-19 virus statistics and HOW is it affecting you.. what are you doing..?

I live in Ohio and some think our Governor was overreacting by precipitously closing schools, restaurants, bars, and voting initially, but I am sure in the long run it will be seen as giving us a health advantage over virus spread. I teach (in classroom up until now) at the University of Cincinnati ...

Bill's personal opinion aside... just because something is "Anti-Islam" doesn't mean it's wrong. Yes, "The Religion of Peace" has an agenda, a very obvious one, and they don't attempt to hide it. Yes, they bring up and discuss things that, in line with their agenda, will show the bad effects of Isl...

Hmmm. Turkey was a good friend of nazi Germany during WWII. Not a sign of an acceptable secular Islamic country. Acceptable enough to join the NATO just a few short years later... X1 Yoga 3rd Gen First New since T23

Well, I did some research and decided to get an X1 - Yoga 3rd Gen, 16GB RAM (soldered) but the drive is upgradable. The convertible aspect is perfect for my use of this for work so I'm quite pleased with it. Is it an X1? Is it a Yoga? I guess both.

Keep in mind as well that since 1949 the USA has been the largest donor of aid to the Palestinian people, until changes made by the US government in the past year, when it was cut.
