Just to be sure: T410 and T410s have the same keyboards?
So a keyboard advertised as T410 will be compatible with my s-version?
Thanks!

Which one should i buy?
Hello everyone, I am a big fan of Thinkpad laptops but I have serious doubts which laptop I should buy. Currently I have a T60. In general, I’m very happy with this machine but it has become too slow. My only remarks on the T60 were: - underneath it was often very hot - the fan made quite some noise...

Re: T60 Screen goes dark (LCD is turned off)
Again, many thanks for your answer
I can't find the button "Power" but I don't think it has to do with power or monitor settings.
I didn't change anything and suddenly I can't use this account anymore, while the other accounts are just fine.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: T60 Screen goes dark (LCD is turned off)
Thanks for your answer but the screensaver isn't the problem in my opinion.
I don't see a screensaver, I can't see anything because the screen is turned off.
If I boot in safe mode, I can see that the screensaver will only kick in after 40 minutes.
Somebody has another suggestion?
Many thanks

T60 Screen goes dark (LCD is turned off)
Hello, when I log in to one of my Windows XP accounts of my Thinkpad T60, the screen goes dark just after a couple of seconds. The LCD is turned off, I can't see anything. But I can use my keyboard to lock the T60 and use another account. With this account there is no problem at all. So I should hav...

It doesn't appear anymore, after I have pressed F1 and ESC once.Harryc wrote: Stop pressing "F1" and "ESC". It will eventually reappear.

Re: T60 "fan error"
I read somewhere that by pressing "F1" and "ESC" the error disappears. This is true, I can use my T60 again. But I assume that the problem didn't disappear? How can I make the error appear again, so I can know when it is solved? And does someone know a good place to order new Thinkpad fans, in Europ...

T60 "fan error"
Hello,
when my T60 boots, I receive "fan error". It is making a lot of noise for months so this error doesn't surprise me.
My question is simple: will a new fan (likely) solve this problem?
Thanks

Re: What memory should I buy?
Ok thanks for the advice.
What are the disadvantages of these cheaper brands?
Crucial, Samsung and G.Skill are equal to Lenovo memory?
Thanks

What memory should I buy?
The thinkwiki says that my T60 uses PC2-5300 memory.
I found out that memory made by Lenovo is much more expensive than memory of other brands.
I found for example "Kingston ValueRAM SODIMM DDR2 667 CL5, 2 GB".
Can I also use memory of other brands or has it to be from Lenovo?
Thanks!
