Re: WTB/LF: T9300 or T9500 (= 2.5 GHz/2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU)
There is something to be said for new CPU's, but I really lucked out on my aliexpress purchase; 25 bucks for a T9300! If you want to go the cheap route it is always an alternative, but know that refunds are warrantly doesnt exist in China. I can't promise you that they send you a CPU as good as mine...

I read about that touchpad issue, the cursor jumping around. 5 bucks that they are touching the touchpad with their palms when typing. You wouldnt believe how many times i've had to explain that to outraged customers... Bloody unreal. Read it carefully, there is second issue mentioned: But the seco...

It is mandatory to read real user experience before buying any Lenovo product these days, unfortunately. As usually, there are (were ?) same basic functionality failures https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-based-Tablets/Miix-700-jumping-cursor-keyboard-typos/m-p/2263165/highlight/true#M5025 Chech ...

How bout that Miix 700?
Couldnt really find a good place for it so i posted here.
Anyone here have one of these? I'm seriously considering one. Cant really decide between this and the entry level Surface Pro 4.

A question... how much is this screen and where can you get it from? SXGA+ IPS/AFFS with resolution 1400 x 1050 i assume it just screws into the frame and plugs into the board I think it needs a different lcd cable as well. But its a moot point since the LCD is practically impossible to find. At le...

Re: Lenovo G580 CPU upgrade
Fairly certain it can take a i7-3612. I have a i7-3610 in my Edge E530 with the same chipset. Its operating under a barely controlled meltdown so gi with the 3612 instead. It runs cooler.
It takes ivy bridge fine. No issues if you have the newest bios. My old G580 has a i3-3110m.

Re: some pictures of X62
Thats a very good question, 3G/4G is a firm requirement for me. I think the msata cann't use 3G/4G WWAN,but you can use USB TO 3G/4G such as HUAWEI EC5377U-872 or ZTE,the motherboard have build-in a USB socket you can use . Yeah, well, the reason i need it internally because i've already broken off...

24.99 usd aftermarket battery for T42. Had it for just short of 5 years, (5 years in april). Its on 18% wear, just about lasts 2 hours.
Never had a aftermsrkrt battery last this long. They have usually halved their capacity by 2 years, and dead by 3.

What kind of timetable are we looking at for general availability? Even with my newest upgrades my X61 isnt really keeping up. I was going to buy a surface style tablet, but if thise board can give my X61 a new life, and in the process wipe the floor with thetablet i was looking at, even better.

You will need to insulate PIN 20. Otherwise GOBI1000, GOBI2000 and GOBI3000 will be in the EVDO mode. I remember some one explained to me that X61's pin 20 lacks the support for some particular power level that is required for it to enter the WCDMA/HSDPA mode I've ordered a MC7700 (GOBI 4000), acco...

Lenovo's MC8355 (Gobi 3000) Verizon locked?
I threw in a lenovo branded Gobi 3000 card into my x61s. Everything seems to work fine up until the point i try to connect to my 3 network. APN and settings are fine. No issue there. It finds a roaming Verizon net, but not my 3 network. Frankly I didnt even know Verizon worked in europe since we shu...

DaKKs : I started with two of the X61s models because I thought I would like the smaller "s" version better. But they got too hot (purchased, but couldn't figure out how to install a second palmrest fan) and they did not have the speed of the full size X61 models. So, I bit the bullet and bought tw...

Yeah, i'm out. Ripped apart a X61 to swap boards into my X61s but i dont think the smaller fan can cope. Now unless that Haswell runs load at absolute zero, i dont think the X61s fan can keep it under control either.

I use an AzureWave AW-CE123H. Half size, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac + BT 4.0. No issues so far, I'd recommend it. R Mine refuses to boot with it. Either a planar beep code or just pure black screen I went with an intel 6300, then i akso ordered that magic dell card that overclocks. We'll see about the latter.
