Re: Palmrest for x61s
Bizarrely enough I bought 42W3769 locally with IBM logo (not used to it but I hope I will be) so my old x61s looks new and older at the same time. Thinking of getting a newer LED on it.

1024*768 AFFS screen for x61s
Hello! Years ago I wanted to change the screen in my x61s 7669-3JG ... not done yet but still planned. I don't think I can manage the work to get a high resolution screen so I'd prefer 1024*768 HV121X03-100 that I can still buy. Will I need any cables, adapters or complicated work for this one? Or i...

Palmrest for x61s
Hello! My good old x61s 7669-3JG still works fine, with SSD, new WLAN adapter and Windows 10 on board. After I understood that Retro model isn't fine for me I've decided to rejuvenate my old laptop. To start with, the palmrest is broken and I want to find a new one. With a fingerprint (although I do...

Re: Anyone try Windows 10 on x61s?
Installed Windows 10 64-bit on a new SSD (Plextor M6 Pro) to my x61s - I've never seen a computer running so fast. Only problem is a wi-fi card, it caused BSOD netwlv64.sys every 10 minutes but a registry tweak found in the Internet helped. I plan to change the card anyway, Middleton BIOS lets me. L...

Re: Volume buttons don't display, Battery indicator won't ru
I have the same issue on x61s after I installed updated Power Manager and Hotkey. I've tried uninstalling these and reinstalling them, twice, but the only result is that ThinkVantage button as well as Fn + F5 used to work but now they don't. btw I don't have the OSD services running and I don't have...

volume control buttons working incorrectly
hello, after ThinkVantage toolbox updated on Thursday the volume control buttons work incorrectly: mute button doesn't work and up-down volume buttons change volume level by 2 digits (0-2-4-6-4-2-0) which is inconvenient (i need the mute button and the level of comfort volume is 1). how can i make t...
