The SSID (Service Set IDentifier) is the "name" that has been assigned to your wireless access point (WAP), in your case the Linksys WRT160N router. The router that we have is the Linksys WRT160N it says it supports 802.11B. The card I have is an Actiontec 802MIP.

Sorry for the noob question but what is the SSID?
