Hey all, I recently updated the hotkey features integration update (4.21.2200) on my T430s. The on screen display kept crashing upon waking up from sleep. Did anybody else encounter this issue?
I have since rolled back the hotkey package to 4.21.2000 and so far no issues at all.

Re: Got my T430s: Love the design, Hate the screen
I hear ya OP. Love the form factor of the T430s, but the screen is woeful. I notice the 'screen door' effect on mine, but I came from a T400, so I was use to the subpar TN panels. I agree with others that you should have gotten the HD+ (1600x900) option and to calibrate the screen using a customized...

Re: T430s vs T430u
I agree with what pianowizard said. Like you, I was in the same situation as I was looking to replace my T400. She was starting to show her age by getting really hot and slow when not on AC power. I even had an SSD in there! My obvious first selection was the X1 Carbon, but I couldn't justify the pr...

Re: Max CPU T400
I'm rocking a 256GB Samsung 830 SSD in my T400. The area underneath the right palm (HDD) is really cool; never really gets toasty. If you select this SSD, you are good to go. Are you asking about heat over that area in general? It depends on the drive you have installed. Nothing else is there that w...

Re: NOT a Holy Grail, but nice! 14" WS R61 w/webcam, WXGA+, SD
Hmmm, interesting, nice TP, but I like my T400. It was the last T series that incorporated design cues from previous IBM classic T series (i.e. T4x's and the T6x's) - the asymmetry, the cut off edge on one side, the latch on the lid and the keyboard, not to mention the almost magnesium bottom. The W...

Re: T500 w/ Intel 5100, slower to reconnect
I've experienced this myself with my Win7 HP 64bit T400. Ever since they came out with the Tx20's, my wifi hasn't worked the same. So far the stop gap measure is to rollback the Wifi card driver to the original Win7 driver (ca 2009). Lenovo hasn't given me any help at all on this subject especially ...

Re: T400 lid raised bump?
Yes Colonel, it is on the lower left corner of the upper side of the lid, right where it has the embossed "Lenovo" According to the T400 hardware maintenance manual, that is where one of the antenna assemblies clips onto the magnesium frame. I've put a little bit of pressure to possible pop the asse...

T400 lid raised bump?
Hello all, I may just be paranoid, but lately I've noticed a bump protruding from underneath the lid (right underneath the lenovo rollmark). Should I be concerned? I'm wondering if it's the wifi antenna assembly just loose. Hmmm...if I'm gonna have to end up taking her apart to "fix" it, I might as ...

Here is the link to the hotfix you requested: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2486635 Bear in mind that I accept no responsibility if the hotfix does not work or if it screws up your comp. Thanks for the link, chinoco02. I had a look at it, but it doesn't seem to scratch quite where I'm itching... ...

Re: "Safely remove hardware & eject media" takes forever
Good to hear I'm not alone, chinoco02. I mean 'good' in the worst possible way--these kinds of problems are no fun... You said you found a hotfix. Could you pass along the URL? I've searched and couldn't find anything! But my search skills aren't what they probably should be. Thanks for the help! P...

Re: "Safely remove hardware & eject media" takes forever
Hey there, I suffer from this exact problem with my T400 Win 7 64 bit. At first I thought it was a printer that I no longer used (shaded/offline). Removed it and still suffered the same problem. The I looked it up on MS knowledge base. There is a hotfix for this and it worked once and now I still ha...
