Safari does work, but it crashes on thinkpads.com's home page :( Fortunately, I can go directly to the forum page :) EVERYTHING crashes on thinkpads.com's home page.. :( But Safari running on the real PowerBook works just fine on the home page :) Also works fine from IE7 running on Windows Vista.

The good old days...:) Emulators have been around for a long time. The really interesting part today is that the OS is running on the native platform (in my case, virtualized platform)

I'll play. It was a 486 DX2 Thinkpad (company given) I remember that I need to carry two sets of hard drives (one was for development, another for different version of OS for testing) I also had a 2nd laptop bag to occasionally carry the docking station which was about the same size as the Thinkpad.

I just downloaded the video of the guy booting OSX on his Dell laptop from the link. It is neat that they got that far.
I think I will keep my OSX in the virtual machine.

Never had to use a physical floppy on my Thinkpad except for some diags software from IBM update. I just ignored it.

I do have a need to use a serial port to control my Sony CD changer unit, but my T40 does not come with one. I use an USB-to-serial adapter.

It likes to be run as an admin user, but certainly does not have to be. Are you the administrator. Yes my user have administrative rights, but i did not install the program as THE administrator, perhaps i should try that? I paid about $3k for a T40p just less than 2 years ago.
They are based on a slower memory bus controller (PC2100 vs PC2700 for T42/43), but I am still quite happy with it.
