Hitachi 7K60 or 7K100 in T22 - do I need an adaptor? how to?
ppl of earth! :) some time passed since I upgrade any harddrives... so my information might be outdated. my plan is to substitute the old HD in my T22 with a sleek and fast 7K60 or maybe a 7K100 since there are cheaper over here (113,- euro). my plan was to install the hitachi via USB2-external box ...

Re: Do IBM Brand PC133 Memory fit an IBM T22 ?
It´s the amount of RAM-banks on the stick... newer RAM has too much RAM on one of each banks. there is some rare 133er RAM which has the full RAM size defined by 16 x banks or so, this ones will work on T22. if the RAM-density is too high it won´t work in your T22 I was looking for CL2 RAM for my T2...

ACPI / APIC
ok, thank you a lot. the tip with XP Pro is apreciated a lot! I have ressource conflicts WHATEVER I do, even devices I switch off in the BIOS are getting and IRQ nevertheless ... a lot of people are convinced that IRQ-sharing works fine but these must be people running office software only. as soon ...

ACPI stability in XP in comparison to W2K - better or not?
cheers again,
this question is related to my other enigma about APIC on T22 systems.
i was asking myself if the ACPI-handling in XP is at least slightly better then in W2K. in the case some users here can tell me their experiences I would upgrade my T22.
thanx in advance!

oops. it seems I placed some hardcore questions..
but one thing gets clearer:
my SiSoft Sandra tells me the PIII coppermine doesn´t feature "Local APIC build-in" so I guess no multiple IRQs on the T22 ...

T22 - 2nd pair of IDE-controllers in DM - ACPI / APIC
ppl of earth! I am new here but it looks like a nice place to stay... :) problem: I was bored of havin´ 6 devices sharing the same IRQ on windows 2K with ACPI-hal (audio was popping sometimes and I don´t accept occasional cracks when watching a DVD) so I decided to give good old PC-standard a new ch...
