I just wanted to give the upshot of this ... I was unable to get the display working on Ubuntu or Windows. I just sold it to someone who is using it on their Mac, and it looked *really nice*. It was immediately plug-and-play. I was kind of jealous, but there's no way I'm leaving linux or my T/W52/30...

Ok, so it turns out that if you mistakenly plug in the 90W power supply to the dock, the machine will post but then for reasons unknown, set the dirty bit on the FAT filesystem that holds the EFI files and from there fail to boot.

Is anyone having this problem? I've found some mention of the LP156WF1-TLB2 on this board, but not the -TLB1. It's listed as "compatible" with the W530, and it still available, but I can't find out anything about it's quality.

@RBS - what that's showing is that the signal goes from the laptop to the monitor, but not in reverse. All adapters are unidirectional.
