Re: removing the X61s wireless cards

Hello, I would imagine that if you have wifi disabled and hardware switch off then the wireless cards are not to blame. I don't think the WLAN and WWAN cards should still generate heat in such a scenario. There may be another source of heat and your fan may need a fresh cleaning and lubrication, may...

dwilsonfl, Why are you supposedly apologizing publicly when you never attempted to apologize privately first? Could it be you are trying to attack and hurt me while yet pretending to be a nice guy?

@ Cola : Well, the longer, 4-cell, "slim", flat battery in the 3rd picture gives away the fact that it's either an x60 s or x61 s . The x60, x61 cannot take the "slim" battery: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/iw_IL/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-62401 And I guess the fact that it...

Re: FS: Free except for mailing T42p and X60 batteries

I'll mail them to whoever wants them for the cost of postage; the T42p fits in the small Flat Rate $5.35 box - the X60 is too big, so the medium flat Rate box may be too costly, but maybe regular parcel post may work. Hi Edward. The way you phrase your question seems to indicate you realize you would have to replace the entire board. For the benefit of others, let us make it clear that you cannot upgrade the processor alone on x60/x61 series laptops, or x60/ x61 tablets either. The CPU is soldered onto the system...
