Both user and master pass are active it says. User hdp (which I still remember) is the only thing it asks for when opening bios. Starting up windows is not a problem. Password wasn't the problem.. Thanks anywayHarryc wrote:Did that fix the hard drive password issue?

A new hard disk? After the new hard disk is placed and Windows xp pro is installed again it should be all good?It's time for a new drive. There is no way to fix or recover a drive with a messed up Hard drive password. It's a hockey puck now.

Is the hard drive seen in BIOS on the startup/boot screen? Yeah it is. Hitachi HTS722012K9SA00 (120 GB). I did not drop the t60, neither did I something stupid in Windows itself. ^ Ok I did. The xp loadscreen gives me a new bluescreen: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. Both start windows normally and safe mode.
