Without seeing the laptop I would suggest the screen would need replacing, it could be worth checking the connections into the screen. The ultimate solution maybe to replace the whole screen unit which would be simpler

It sounds like you have the software installed but you don't have the Bluetooth module. Do an eBay search for T30 Bluetooth module and you should find one fairly cheap, the module raplaces the modem module in your laptop - but you would need to ensure you have the bluetooth aerial to plug in

Hi Javier This sound to me like the charging circuit in the T41 is broken, the way to test this would be to totally discharge your working battery from your T42, insert this into the T41 and leave on charge (no need to start up the laptop), if after a period of time say half an hour, the laptop does...

Does the sound work through headphones plugged in?

It would certainly be worth a try, you should be able to use the Intel client software also - which may improve on the built in XP software

You could also try removing the HDD, and DVD drive if swapping the memory does not work

In the power manager advanced setting, you can use the battery maintenance utility to recalibrate the battery - this may be worth trying
