My gut feeling says a fresh install of windows will cure all. So does this mean you can never use ie9 i use ie9 all the time never a problem.

Re: Couple of Questions about the X220
I would highly recommend the 9 cell battery, its hots the sweet spot of all the batteries. I would just plan carrying a mouse. I some times find the trackpad unusable. The Trackpad is on sore spot on this great machine. I own the X220 and if cared about anything about this machine it would be: The I...

Re: Anyone successfully use the Recovery utility?
Yes, what i do is restart hit f2 at the lenovo screen. You will get a windows option screen, then hit f8. That will take you to the option to do a factory install. Like the day you got it. Lenovo stopped issuing restore disk alooong time ago. Just give that a try. The Q drive is your recovery softwa...

Re: Undecided on X220 or Macbook air
I had just had a 13in unibody macbook, the one without the sd-card reader. You just looked at that thing and it would scratch. I'm quite sure that your air is made of a thicker case. I know what your mean i have used the 11in air and its well constructed feels really solid. Plus it has that bead bla...

Re: X220 i5
Yes they do, however i returned mine. I found one on ebay for 775 with the i5 2.5, ips, fp reader, 9 cell, 4 gig ram. It's a much better machine than the one i ordered at the outlet. How did you get a ssd for so cheap. Is it a used machine, refurbished. Thats pretty darn cheap.

Both have there place thats for sure, like the previous poster that takes his to court with him. The X220 is for those that want a on the go Windows machine thats got some muscle. On the other hand the Air is for some one that doesent need the muscle, just enough to run some apps. Both air great pro...

X220 i5
I just purchased a new X220 from the Lenovo Outlet. Man, they go quick on there. I was just trying to decide which one to get and folks were buying them up. I got the X220 i5, 320-7200rpm, BT, no FPrint. Decent setup for 786$. My only gripe with the machine is the lack of HDMI for occasional movies ...
