Re: What a wild ride this has been.

I just started a new course of medications this week and the results are extraordinary. It turns out I had secondary adrenal insufficiency a condition where your adrenal gland does not produce hormones and it has been life threatening and undiagnosed. Apparently a couple pills everyday and I am fine...

widescreen T60 can be updated with a T61 15.4" motherboard, or whole chassis. Then you can increase ram to 8gb.

I found a couple of these for you and we'll send them the next time I have a package going your way. 1 is like new condition the other is NOS in original sealed box. I also have a few random generic adapters I can throw in for free. One of them looks like it may work in W 700 / w701 or maybe r 500 m...

Re: A question about an online seller in US

We no longer live in the Commerce system of caveat emptor, today the sellers have more to risk than the buyers. Anyone who has done business on eBay knows how easy it is for buyer to screw a seller and very difficult for the reverse. I think the biggest thing you have to fear buying laptop parts is ...

I have several of these some in very nice condition. Both a 31p and a 31. I'm going to be selling them probably this fall or maybe in the spring. Some of them need work but I know at least one worked great and was in excellent condition except for the reddish backlight when cold. Typical old age bac...

Last year I sold my 2008 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe. Mint condition 11000 MI. Prior to that I rode a 1950 Harley-Davidson Panhead Chopper. I purchased it as a teenager carrying out of somebody's Garage in baskets. I rebuilt the engine and first drive it on the street when I was about 20. Prior t...

Re: WTB Frankenpad Fan

In my opinion the best fan for this laptop is the t61p. I have these available for $20 and new NOS for $30. Send me a PM if you would like to purchase.

The t500 fan does not fit properly and I don't believe there is any significant advantage over t61p fan.

Hi Tuus, I see https://www.theboardroom.info/t61mobo.html has 44C3924 motherboards. Is anything else for Frankenpads still available? It's not urgent - I'm exploring how to prolong my use of 4:3 and I have some avenues to explore, but this is one of them. I'll be considering the best m/b to undervo...

Re: How long does flashing Middleton's BIOS supposed to take?

The only answer I can give you on this is that Lenovo Never released a t61 b i o s with 64-bit winflash therefore there was no b i o s to modify. If you want to flash your laptop you will probably need to use the bootable CD ROM disk that also comes with Middleton bios. Maybe you can experiment and ...

Re: Turn off "battery has failed due to normal wear" message

Simple solution is removed the battery, a better fix would be to Simply replace the battery. I don't have much experience with this series but it sounds like your battery overheat it and was shut down to prevent fire. This was a common problem with older series and the best solution was to set your ...

If you are considering the t601 route you can get up to 2.5 gigahertz quad core and 8 gigabytes of RAM. Also upgrade from SATA 1 in your t60 to SATA 2. There are still some NOS motherboards available with discrete graphics that don't have the well-known GPU defects. It will not keep up with a T70 bu...

Is the 44c3931 board the 'safe' 256 meg fx570m? I'd be interested if you have any of those as you can never be sure with fleabay - T61P systems and individual motherboards sold there rarely show proof it is a post-fix system (or they could just post an image of a safe dated chip from elsewhere, for...
