Re: SSD runs slow on my T60
Samsung 470 on T60 is definitely a waste of superior SSD, since you only gonna get SATA ONE speed out of a T60. I have Samsung 470 installed on my W520, and let me tell you that thing is on crack all day everyday.
the SSD I have on T60 is a 128GB PB22-JS3 pulled out from old dell latitude E4300

Re: Not sure if I should start another thread
dont use xp. its out dated unsecured pos. plus you get whole bunch of crap outdated programs you dont need within the recovery set.
get 7 or vista sp2, do a clean install then make a "factory" image with rescue and recovery if you want to have the ability to recover to "factory settings" later

Re: Experience with Internet Explorer 9 on T60’s w/X1300 GPU?
mine is 2007whc, exately the same spec as you. normally IE9 runs fine on win7 ultimate. However whenever I download things, it takes ages to run the security scan. the larger the file, the longer it takes. i counted with a timer, it takes 50 sec to scan a 40MB program. if i recall correctly, IE9 run...
