Charging voltage is indicated on the bottom label, and it is 20V. It will not charge on anything less, especially at 5V.
Thanks for the confirmation: it says 20V 2.25A/3.25A on the rear of my X1C6 indeed, so looks like I'm out of luck.

Re: X1C6 charging voltage

energy consumption settles at 43 W ...in which case I suppose it'd be 15V/3A or (more likely) 20V/2.25A circuit of the 4X20M26276 as the other 2 just wouldn't give enough power. Perhaps the 5V/2A circuit of the 4X20M26276 could be used for other applications such as smartphone/tablet charging. Than...

Re: X1C6 charging voltage

w0qj: Thanks so much. Do you think the X1C6 will charge off 5VDC at least slowly after detecting no other voltage available? The fact the 4X20M26276 has 5VDC besides other voltages gives some hope.. The USB power outlets in question are all Type-A, which tells me 5VDC is the only voltage they can d...

Re: X1C6 charging voltage

Some X1C6 travel chargers I see on Ebay are rated 3.25Amps @ 20VDC. Does that look about right? What I'm trying to figure out is whether I can charge my X1C6 off a USB power outlet I saw in economy class Boeing 777-300 aircraft seats on a London-Tokyo flight recently: can't find any specs of those U...

Try a much newer version of the Live ISO, because the X1C6 is a 2018 model.
That helped indeed thank you (I had amended my previous post with that back then).

X1C6 charging voltage

Hi All, Apologies for this simple question: which particular voltage does X1C6 use through USB-C when charging off the standard charger? The USB-C spec tells me there are 2-3 different voltages, in particular 5VDC and 20VDC, hence wondering if a high amp 5VDC charger could be used to charge it. Many...

Well at least their ports on the LH side look no different.

Anyway I ended up ordering a 6th Gen one: larger battery was the winner.

X6x CMOS battery wiring

Hi All,

Could anyone please explain what the "extra" (3rd) wire in X6x CMOS battery is for? Assuming it's a CR2032 (3V) cell inside I'm tempted to make my own because of their ridiculous pricing (>4 times more than what T4x batteries sell for).

Thanks in advance!

That is not easily done. The USB 3.0 socket is nearly 3mm deeper than the USB 2.0 socket.
