Re: Thinkpad X201 Bluetooth
It's strange that Bluetooth isn't showing at all in the BIOS I/O Port Access menu. That entry usually appears whether or not the system detects the presence of the Bluetooth daughtercard. You could potentially get Bluetooth working with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth 4.0 card, b...

Re: X220 lost "high resolution" VESA/framebuffer modes after BIOS upgrade
Sorry about the late reply, but I just came across this thread. I posed a question about this issue a while back to the creator of the modified BIOS, VladikSS at bios-mods.com: Your 1.44 BIOS appears to use Intel vbios version 2089 while your 1.43 BIOS used Intel vbios 2119. Was there something that...

The Aleratec mSATA SSD to 1.8" micro SATA Drive Converter that is often recommended for the X301 seems to be out of stock everywhere.
The Addonics ADMS18SA mSATA SSD to 1.8" micro SATA Adapter is an identical product and is currently available here: https://www.addonics.com/products/adms18sa.php

Not sure why these things would be happening with the modified BIOS but resolve when the original BIOS is in place.
There is a modified version of the latest BIOS (v 1.43) that might work better for you here: http://x220.mcdonnelltech.com/resources/

Re: x220 broken screen housing
I've managed to repair a few X220 and X230 units that had this same issue. I used a small spot of JB Weld imbedded with a small finishing nail laid across the break for extra reinforcement in the area shown in the photograph here . You just need to remove the screen bezel and temporarily push aside ...

How does one roll back the Bios to the 1.28 version as per earlier post to maximize the speed of 16gb ram on my x220. I too would like to rejuvenate my x220, right now I have bios version 1.40. Thank you. If you'd rather not roll back there's a modified version of the 1.40 BIOS that unlocks 1866MHz...

You're right, the DW1510 shouldn't be the source of any trouble. I'm really not sure what might be going on with the wifi switch. x301 CPU is C2D means 1.5V and 2Rx8 memory (16 chips). Same with 1st gen i core series as well. If any memory 1Rx8 for 4GB per stick, will not work.
