Re: T60 9-cell battery 42T4511 - zero voltage

All I know is, that these boards must be under CONSTANT power. If you would remove the battery wiring from the old board to attach that to the new board, the new board will not work. Same goes for swapping out battery cells, you can NOT interrupt power. You must first put the new board in parallel,...

Re: Is this the famous NVIDIA issue?

If there was a reliable repair for this problem, there would be a "Sticky" note at the top of this forum. Follow RBS's advice... The sticky is in the T4x forum. You take your chances, and if you have more time than money, how much worse could you make it? (follow all the warnings and remove everyth...

Re: Is this IPS screen?

thanks for the tip - I guess based on what I found and the extreme angle test, it is an IPS screen. I thought I'd be more "wowed" though ... then I compared it to the screen on my old laptop, which was a "wide viewing angle screen".. ya, I get it now. *hugs T60p*

Re: Is this IPS screen?

so, along the lines of the original question - is there a way to know if the screen in a machine is actually an IPS screen? I looked at the EDID information for the LCD in my T60p, and I don't know if it is the original screen. The screen is really nice, but having never seen an IPS panel in person,...

Re: d620 LCD in T61 (widescreen)

The D620 is actually significantly different from the 600/610's etc. It's the first in the D6X0 series to use a widescreen LCD. Do a little digging on the model LCD you've got in your Dell, you might find it just has an EDID chip...

It wasn't in your list, but would you have a use for a 380Z? I've had it since new, and it's sitting around somewhere still with Windows 2000 on it ;)

Re: Missing OSD after installing win 7.

I apologize for reviving an old-ish thread, but I'm running into the exact same issue here, and going through the lenovo support site, the only thing related to Hotkeys I can find is the "Hotkey Features Integration", which I do have installed. After a reboot it still does not work. I enabled the v...

Sata setting set to AHCI or compatibility? I got BSOD's with the AHCI setting on mine. Running on compatibility works just fine.

Re: T61p T7500, CPU upgrade worth it?

I mainly browse the web and watch videos on it so far, I play some games at times though but I'm satisfied with the performance (Starcraft 2 1920x1200 Low Settings average fps ~ 60fps). Also would upgrading memory to a total of 8gb of ram be something to consider? 4gb SO-DIMM DDR2 sticks are quite ...

Re: does such a machine exist?! help me find it!!

@Raceboy Also with UXGA display? Keep in mind that the import tax will be around 20~25% of the item price... Shipping comes on top of that... So it has to be a very sharp deal if he buys from the US. I did a quick search on eBay.com but I could not find any T60(p) with UXGA display. On the marketpl...

Re: T61p T7500, CPU upgrade worth it?

Looking at the numbers, it's not really a big difference between the two processors. They both have the exact same capabilities, it's just a die shrink and a speed bump - guessing around 30-35% faster. If I had a T7300 already, I wouldn't do it, but if you need the extra speed, go for it.
