Looking for a genuine battery in good condition (100% to 65% actual charge) to replace my x61 Tablet.
Will buy 4 cell or 8 cell. Obviously paying more for 8 cells with better condition.

Out of the box Windows should work fine. You might need to do a bit of fiddling with drivers for network first, but that's fairly straight forward. Once you are connected to internet properly, run Windows Update. Make sure to check all optional packages, usually this will update stuff like the chips...

I'll agree with the heatsink (not a big deal) bit but bottom plastic aka base? I don't think so... So the Craiglist guy told you it was one FRU and then you got there and found it was another one? That would mean replacing heatsink and possibly the bottom plastic. I'm about done with this thing.

how did it work out? pretty sure its the board. my sony vaio k had a bad board(stopped detecting hdd's), so i got one off of ebay, screen acted up, so i replaced the inverter. screen turned white and only displayed on the external monitor properly. I put the old board in and the screen was all nice...

Got new screen and it didnt work. F7 and F8 seems to be fine. F3 might be popped, how would I replace this?
