Re: x240 backlight fuse

Thanks! You saved me chasing my tail any further The fuse has continuity. [As you said, it's nearby the connector: it's on the opposite side of the PCB directly over the connector]. Could be a bad display (bought it a while back and hasn't been tested) or a bad cable (got it without a LCD so don't k...

x240 backlight fuse

Any idea where the fuse for the backlight is? Tried a bunch but they are all good.

Assume either this fuse is out or the backlight is dead [Screen shows, but no backlight].

Thanks!

Smaller but not necessarily slimmer is the Finsix DART (65w).

Re: WTB: X220 palm rest with mSATA, with or without FPR

Based on this:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/migr-77191 (parts 23, 26)
and the HMM (parts 6, 23)
(ignoring the fact they are showing two different sets of FRUs)
It looks like "and mSATA" edition was only used/needed? in machines that shipped with 80GB mSATA as original equipment.

Re: X220 Best IPS Screen

I don't think so. Either the cable is damaged or connection is bad. However, the fact it doesn't start is really weird. Upon calmer reflection, it probably was booting but stuck at a bios password screen. It didn't display on the external monitor because I didn't have that enabled. Thus, the proble...

Re: X220 Best IPS Screen

The routing of the screen cable matters! I pulled the screen and reinserted it (testing another lcd) and my x220 failed to boot (backlight on, no display, no display on external screen, no beeps!). I repositioned the lcd cable and it started working again. Basically when I put the screen back in I d...

Re: X220 Best IPS Screen

Here's a quick report. Got a S230U Twist panel with the digitizer screen still attached (SL-T1, P/N: 0A66690). The good news is that means the screen is clean, the bad news gotta take it off. It was actually a bit easier than removing the digitizer from the old gateways (for the AFFS panel for the x...

Re: X220 Best IPS Screen

Based upon what I've seen, I think the LP125WH2-SLT1, SLT2, SLT3 are three variants: T1 for lenovo, T2 for toshiba, T3 for Fujitsu or at least that's the PDF specs say (Use google on (with 1,2,3, for n) "LP125WH2-SLT<n> pdf"). Mount for T1 - left / right holes Mount for T2 - top/ bottom holes Mount ...

(Corrected 2:22pm EST after discussion with dr_st ) ... Alternatives: LP125WH2-SLT1 FRU: N/A - P/N: 0A66690 (as used on ThinkPad S230U and IdeaPad U260 ) No known problems EDIT: LP125WH2-SLT2 is used in Toshiba machines, and has different mounting holes! .... Don't know if this helps but the LP125W...

Side note: there's a seller with pulled Gateway -110 screens @$25 w/free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-S-H-VIEWIZ-HV121WX4-110-12-1-WXGA-ACTIVE-MATRIX-LCD-/400036107597 (US only) Your mileage may vary, but I had no issues plugging into a CCFL X200. In fact, the one I got had the plexiglass ...

Re: installing x61 tablet motherboard into x60 tablet chasis

According to this (see last post): http://www.thinkpads.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=90137 it isn't an issue( pen switch assembly and speaker are minor glitches). The easier route is to actually take the entire x60t LCD assembly (lcd, bezel, back cover, etc.) and just transplant it onto a x61t. (t...

Re: X61 Stylus Question:

Don't know the name, would guess something like "pen retention clip". Been looking for one, but have never seen one standalone though I'm sure they pop up from time to time. As I said before, suspect it is normally part of the base assembly FRU; don't know if it's available standalone. This is reaso...

Re: X61 Stylus Question:

I suspect the part you are looking for is considered part of the base assembly. Here's a link to a photo of the part that retains the pen from an x60: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/705/penholder.png/ It actually grabs onto the clip; you can see the pen switch assembly in the photo too). Misc....
