Re: Questions about the x220/x230
Hi everyone, So it's been a long time ;-) (Last visit was: Thu Jan 15, 2009 10:29 am) but that's mainly due to the fact that my trusty x61s has never failed me yet (even though the battery is good for perhaps 20 minutes and the adapter only works if the cord is not stretched to much :D ) But it's g...

Re: Remove 800MHz throttling on i7, 65W charger, no battery?
Actually, I believe the X220 uses the battery as a power regulator/filter (cheaper and simpler this way). At the maximum load of ~50-55W (I tested using Intel Burn Test and FurMark at the same time then grabbed readings off AIDA64), good regulation is essential, which is why the X220 gets limited wh...

Re: How to tell if X220 has IPS screen, in general?
Use something like AIDA64 (previously Lavalys Everest) to read the screen model number. The IPS panel on my X220 Tablet is the LG LP125WH2-SLB1, and I believe its shared with the normal X220 and the new X230 lineup.dr_st wrote:Yes, it really is that simple. But it takes just a little bit of experience.

Re: Does thinkpad b/g/n wireless card support 300 or 450mbps?
I wanted to try before I buy the new router, so I just tested a buffalo Nfiniti router by setting it to N only, my Thinkpad cannot connect to the router anymore. After setting the router to N-Only, is there anything I need to do on my laptop? It rejects the connection immediately after I select the...

Re: Does thinkpad b/g/n wireless card support 300 or 450mbps?
Thanks for all you posted above, great explanation and make a lot of sense. I had my eye on AC66 for a while but never going on sale kept me from buying it (and of course not being able to take full advantage of it). I have a webcam, so I guess 3x3 is not an option. I can go with 6205, is this what...

Re: X220 Either IPS or UBS 3
How much does the IPS screen itself( a good one) actually cost as I am planning to have one fitted if price worth. The screen in question: LG LP125WH2-SLB1 (data pulled from my X220 tablet with IPS) From amazon, 65USD+shipping: http://www.amazon.com/LG-LP125WH2-SLB1-LAPTOP-SCREEN-Replacement/dp/B00...

I have X220, 1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter, is it worth buying this router: http://www.amazon.com/RT-AC66U-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC1750-Gigabit-Router/dp/B008ABOJKS/ref=pd_cp_pc_2 or should I save my money and get this router: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OUKZZI/r...
